Hi my name is Sy Chung, a Professional English, Cantonese & Mandarin speaking Master of Ceremonies from the MC Directory based in the western suburb of Sydney Australia.
Congratulations on your engagement. So far, I’m guessing you have spent a great deal of thinking and discussing (and more than a bit of money) to plan out a wonderful wedding celebraton.
So the last thing you want to do is for anything to go wrong. And the second last thing you want, is to run around with a clipboard, checking everything yourself, asking people to do stuff, and having to make big and small decisions in front of all your guests – as it would earn you the dreaded reputation of the B word… I meant “bridezilla”
I’ve had the honour of hosting over 500 weddings since 2005, and from working with so many couples and from their comments afterwards, I understand that one of the most important decisions you’ll make for a super successful wedding reception is to select a professional MC that is experienced, able to handle stress, and someone whom your guests will feel like that already know.
My background in law stressed the importance of preparation, but my experience as a radio presenter for the SBS Cantonese “PopAsia Show” taught me how to think quickly.
As your Event Host MC, my job is to make your day go better than you’d imagined. I will speak in English, Cantonese and Mandarin to keep your guests entertained and engaged (excuse the pun)
I will help draft a schedule of what will happen and in what order. This is called a runsheet and is the glue that keeps the event neat and tidy.
But ultimately, my job is to make you look and feel great. This involves me coordinating everything behind the scenes – so that you can both sit back and relax and enjoy the company of your friends and family – and let me worry about the details.
My name is Sy Chung for the MC Directory. You can book me with the link in this post, but if you have any questions about your wedding planning, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly. I’d be more than happy to help where I can!
